How to Create Windows 8 Apps Using Browser

TouchDevelop lets you create apps everywhere on all your devices. It features a predictive on-screen code keyboard and a touch optimized programming language. With the TouchDevelop programming environment you can write app scripts by just tapping on the screen. No need to have separate PC or keyboard. The scripts can be used to perform various tasks which is similar to regular apps. TouchDevelop users can install, run, edit, and publish scripts.

TouchDevelop Web App Preview

To be able to create Windows 8 apps using your browser, you will need to use the recently launched TouchDevelop Web App Preview. It uses the same programming language, and has similar code editor with the TouchDevelop app and TouchDevelop language. As a result, you can reuse many of the concepts that are available with the TouchDevelop.

How to Create Windows 8 Apps?

To create a Windows 8 app, you need to create a script or game and publish it in the TouchDevelop. From there you can export your script as a Visual Studio project that you need to compile in order to get the final app package. You can just use the free Visual Studio Express edition to do this. Note that you will need a developer account to submit the package to the Windows Store.

How to Create Windows Phone Apps?

Just like the process on how to create Windows 8 apps, you will need to create a script or game and publish it with TouchDevelop. From there you will need to export your script as a Windows Phone package. you do not need Visual Studio this time, but you will need a developer account for the Windows Phone Store to submit your app package.
