10,000 workers get a generous bonus from the Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing
The CEO of Lenovo, Yang Yuanqing, recently received a big bonus of $3 million USD, but rather than keeping it in his own bank account, Mr. Yang Yuanqing gave it away to 10,000 workers.
Yang Yuanqing took the $3 million bonus and distributed it among 10,000 junior level employees. Among the employees that received a percent of the bonus were production line workers, receptionists, and assistants. Each of those employees has received a bonus of 2000 yuan, which is about $314 USD.
Lenovo which had a 73% increase in net profit compared to the previous years, which is stated by Yang Yaunqing to be a record-setting year for Lenovo.
Lenovo is known for its tablets and laptops, and this 2012 they have launched several products and services, including the no-contract broadband plans for its mobile computers.
It’s always nice to see an executive giving part of his bonus to employees. It pretty much shows that you value workers and their part in the company. Giving them a bonus makes them more productive. Kudos to Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing for recognizing and awarding his employees for their hard work.
