Pages for Mac Easter Egg: Steve Job’s Inspirational Speech

An inspirational speech by Steve Jobs is hidden in Apple’s word-processing application, Pages for Mac. Apple cleverly hid it as an Easter egg. It is one of the most famous speeches by Steve Jobs – his inspirational 2005 commencement speech at Stanford University.

Note that to access the Easter egg, you must have Pages app installed on your Mac.

To view it, follow the steps below:

1. Press Shift + Command + G (to open Go To Folder) in Finder and paste the code below:


2. In the Resources folder directory, look for a file named “Apple.txt”, then open that file.

3. That’s it. You can now read the inspirational speech by Steve Jobs.

Alternatively, you can open the speech directly by pasting the following code below in the Terminal:

cat /Applications/
